After a hard long day of moving things, I am back to give you your first true edition of Saturday Night Crap. This week, we’re getting things started off right, with your Own3d!, your Urban Legends, and your Late Night Bloggin’, all conveniently located in one weekly, easy to find post that you will want to check out every single week. This week, the Own3d! images are funnier than ever before, as are your Urban Legends, and your Late Night Bloggin’ takes on a whole new perspective of ranting and raving blogs. So now, without further ramble, I present to you, Saturday Night Fever.

Own3d!: Week 4
Week 4. Is that all? I guess the hilarity of finding Own3d! images on the web has just died down a bit, but now, it’s back and in better form. Now, you can find Own3d! every Saturday night as part of Saturday Night Fever, instead of on Sundays. This week, there are 5 brand new images. Pretty soon, we’re going to have the Own3d! tournament, where all the images I have posted will go head to head in an all out battle, and it’s up to you, the reader, to vote for your favorite one. At that point, that one image will be the winner for the first tournament. Now, enough of this. Let’s get to the good stuff.

1. The Burning Wheelchair

2. Rampaging Buffalo

3. Another Car, Another Ownage

4. Mickey Mouse OWNS Someone!

5. She Got Own3d!

These are actually a pretty good set. Not exactly my funniest (the first ones were the best), but, there are some pretty good ones in here. Hope these images gave you a good laugh like they gave me one when I first saw them. More is to come…be sure to check it out.

Urban Legends
This week, there are 2 brand new Urban Legends for my good readers. As usual, these Urban Legends come from www.urbanlegends.com, so be sure to check out that website if you want to see more of them. If you’ve been through and read every single one, that’s great. Good for you. But, I’m going to post them here anyway. www.urbanlegends.com has redesigned their website, so maybe they put some new good legends on it. On to it, then.

UPS Uniforms Being Sold on eBay! WARNING!

April 2003: Similar to the missing U-Haul Trucks hoax, this one attempts to scare people into stopping deliveries to their homes. A Washington Post article debunks this hoax.

Subject: UPS Warning

Date: Tue, 29 Apr 2003 06:52:20 -0400

FYI Please take this seriously and exercise caution. Warning from U.S. Government regarding purchase of UPS uniforms: BE ALERT!!!! There has been a huge purchase, $32,000 worth, of United Parcel Service (UPS) uniforms on eBay over the last 30 days. This could represent a serious threat as bogus drivers can drop off anything to anyone with deadly consequences! If you have ANY questions when a UPS driver appears at your door, they should be able to furnish VALID I.D.. Additionally, if someone in a UPS uniform comes to make a drop off or pick up, make absolutely sure they are driving a UPS truck. UPS doesn’t make deliveries or pickups in anything except a company vehicle. If you have a problem, IMMEDIATELY call your local law enforcement agency right away! TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY! Tell everyone in your office, family, friends, etc. Make people aware so that we can prepare and/or avoid terrorist attacks on our people! Thank you for your time in reviewing this and PLEASE send to EVERYONE on your list, even if they are friend or foe. We should all be aware!

Kentucky Fried WHAT?

When people eat at KFC do they really know what they are eating? During a recent study of KFC done at the University of New Hampshire, they found some very upsetting facts. First of all, has anybody noticed that just recently, the company has changed their name? Kentucky Fried Chicken has become KFC. Does anybody know why? We thought the real reason was because of the “FRIED” food issue. It’s not. The reason why they call it KFC is because they can not use the word chicken anymore. Why? KFC does not use real chickens. They actually use genetically manipulated organisms. These so called “chickens” are kept alive by tubes inserted into their bodies to pump blood and nutrients throughout their structure. They have no beaks, no feathers, and no feet. Their bone structure is dramatically shrunk to get more meat out of them. This is great for KFC because they do not have to pay so much for their production costs. There is no more plucking of the feathers or the removal of the beaks and feet. The government has told them to change all of their menus so they do not say chicken anywhere. If you look closely you will notice this. Listen to their commercials, I guarantee you will ot see or hear the word chicken. I find this matter to be very disturbing. I hope people will start to realize this and let other people know. Please forward this message to as many people as you can. Together we make KFC start using real chicken again.

Those were pretty good. Nice, good warnings about things and stuff. Now, onto the mecca of Saturday Night Fever.

Late Night Bloggin’: November 13, 2004

Welcome back. It’s been a while. This is the first time I’ve posted Late Night Bloggin’ since the new blog launched a few weeks ago. So, obviously, it has been a while, and now, I’ve come up with a new way to torment bloggers. Should I give a good review to your blog, you’ll know about it. You’ll get an invite, on your comment system, to come check out the review that I gave of your blog. If you get a bad review, then I don’t care, I won’t even tell you about it, you’ll just have to figure that out for yourself. Every week, I will review 4 blogs. It’s going to be different now, in the sense that it’s “dual blog fight” time. Gone are the days where I will give scores to blogs. From now on, there will be 2 face off rounds. One winner will be determined for each dual blog fight. Then, the two winners of the preliminary fights will face off, and your Late Night Bloggin’ winner will be determined. Thats how things are going to work this week, and if I like it, I’ll continue doing it this way. But, if I don’t like it, then, I’ll just continue doing things the way they were, or come up with some other kind of new twist. Dual blog fights, begin.

Face Off #1: “The Misty Sunset” vs. “Strange Ways.”

We have here, two decent blogs. One, obviously, is better than the other, and the other could use a little more work to become a much better blog. I’ll start out by talking about “The Misty Sunset.” Apparently, the author of this blog is a female. It isn’t blatently said in like a profile or anything, but, I can just tell that it is a girl writing this blog. This blog features a simple, but overly white template, which makes it look both good and bad. Good in the sense that it is so simple. Bad in the sense that it’s too white. Another good thing about this blog is that it features a “tagboard,” one of those things that I tried putting here once, but, it never worked out (but, since stats are up, I may put it back up someday). But, that’s pretty much all that is good here. On the negative side, aside from the whiteness of the template, is that there are no other add-ons. No archives. And the content just isn’t that good. Boring, if you will. Now, onto the other blog, “Strange Ways.” I’ll start with the negatives, because that list is shorter. I liked this blog. But, there was just one thing that I didn’t like. This is a unique blog, but, it uses one of Blogger’s incredibly simple templates. A suggestion for Jason, the author of this blog. Go to www.blogskins.com and find a creative template. Now, onto the good stuff. I like the content of this blog, a lot. It’s all pictures. I’m not sure if he took all of these and played with them in Photoshop, or if he found them on the interweb, but, they’re good. And there is a lot of them. And that’s why, “Strange Ways” is the winner of this face off round.

Content- “Strange Ways”

Layout- “The Misty Sunset”

Uniqueness- “Strange Ways”

Face off #1 Winner: “Strange Ways”

Face Off #2: “Splatter!” vs. “i @m whO i aM”

This is going to be a hard one to call. These two blogs were very “different.” So, I’ll start by talking about Splatter, the first of the two. I first got to this blog, and as soon as I saw the two pictures atop of the layout, I was thinking to myself, “Oh dear. What’s this going to bring me to?” It brought me to one of the most unique blogs I had ever seen. The content here is incredibly weird. And that’s a good thing. And for only blogging for about two weeks, this one has made some progress. There are a couple things though, that I’m not liking. Again, this blog is too unique to have a simple Blogger template. Follow the advice I gave earlier, and go to www.blogskins.com and browse around. There are plenty of ones to fit your style. The other thing, is that the tagboard should be in your sidebar. It’s at the bottom of the page, where people can’t see it. Now, onto this other one. I got to this flashy layout, and thought, “woh, there’s a definite winner.” But, then I got to the content. Not liking it. But, aside from the content, I do like the layout, and the addons.

Content- “Splatter!”

Layout- “i @m whO i aM”

Uniqueness- “Splatter!”

Face Off #2 Winner- “Splatter!”

The final decision: This was a really hard decision to make. It was between Strange Ways and Splatter. So now, I will have to compare the two. Both of these, obviously, are very unique blogs. They both use Blogger templates, however, when they could be using more unique templates that come from Blogskins.com or even made by themselves. Strange Ways is just unique because of its incredibly different art that this guy posts. He’s obviously a very artistic person, loves art, and wants to share his love of art with the world. And, Splatter is unique because of the content. SO. The winner of Late Night Bloggin’ this week, is going to be… Strange Ways.

Did you like the new Late Night Bloggin’ this week? If so, do leave a comment or drop me an email by clicking “Bagel, Out.” Or, if you liked any of this week’s Saturday Night Fever, be sure to let me know! That’s all for tonight. Tomorrow, other stuff.
