eBay Hunter #2
Tonight on eBay Hunter: Mystery Boxes. What exactly are they? What are my theories behind them?
ALSO: Other weird stuff for you to take a look at.
Welcome to a completely weirded out eBay Hunter.
Hot Topic: Mystery __________
You can’t go to eBay without finding a mystery box that’s for sale. In the last eBay Hunter, I think I got the woman’s pudding containers that she was selling, that had stuff in them. Yeah, that is what gave me the idea to do this special “hot topic” for this week. We’re going to take a look at a few of the different “Mystery _____’s” that eBay currently has to offer. Let’s do it!
Mystery Money Bag...
This one really can’t be a “mystery.” It essentially tells you what it is. It is a bag of official US money, and it comes in the form of nickels, dimes, and quarters. It contains “at least” $200.00, but, no more than $1,800.00. So, in other words, if someone bid $1,800 for this, they may actually only get $200.05 or something. So someone is going to get ripped off badly here. Please, do yourself a favor, and just take a look at this one. I’m keeping an eye on it to see if it actually bids right.
Mystery Box With 30 lbs. of Content!
This one is more like the mystery boxes that you normally see on eBay. They contain stuff that you probably don’t want (all you need for the mystery money bag above is a trip to your nearest CoinStar system, and you can change all that change into cold, hard cash). This one contains at least 30 lbs. of content of pure mystery stuff. They give all sorts of hints as to what the contents are, saying that they come from the owner’s uncle’s estate. There’s all sorts of hints. Wow. How tempting is that? I’m not sure if it’s really all that tempting at all. But, you may want to check it out, if you’re into that whole thing.
Mystery Treasure Map!
You literally have to be a sucker if you want to believe this one. Currently, the bid is at $.99, and you get a treasure map that points you out to a real treasure. I’m not falling for it, that’s for sure, and nobody that uses eBay should, either. Yes, that was a complete and total stab at the owner of this so called “treasure” map. I can do that here.
The Tampa Bay Mystery Water Bottle of Money
I don’t think I quite comprehend on how this works. They’ve taken one of those large water-cooler bottles, stuffed it with coins, and called it a mystery bottle. Quite obvious, don’t you think? Anyway, this one is located right down here in good ol’ Tampa Bay. It’s current bid is for $1800.00. Like the first one that I covered, it’s a mystery thing of money. Basically, its just a bunch of coins (did I mention Coinstar works great?).
I’m gonna have to cut this short…I’ve got stuff to do before I check out for the night. It was a good day to be posting. Three in a row, that’s really good for one day, considering the circumstances. End post.
