Welcome to Google’d, a new feature that will be one of the best on the blog. I promise. I’m counting on it so much, that in the next “construction day” at the blog (which is coming up very shortly, explanation later on), there will be a sidebar of the things that I searched in the previous post. Anyhoo. Here’s how Google’d works. I’m going to search stuff on Google. It could be a simple word, like “egg.” Or, it could be something more complex like antidisestablishmentarianism. Or, I may do a search of a particular item or something. Whatever I search for, it’s going to be good. There’s going to be three searches per post. Anyway. Let’s get right to it. Tonight you’re getting your Google’d, Own3d, and eBay Hunter, so there’s quite a night ahead.

Search: “Revolution.” This is the codename of the next Nintendo console, and there are many rumors about it and what it will be all about. So, my intent here is to see the kind of bullcrap people are making up about it. NOTE: Nothing about the Nintendo Revolution has been revealed, including an official prototype, design, controller, or any games. All of the below searches have been proven to be false, even if their original creator claims them to be true.

How Stuff Works-The Nintendo Revolution
This site claims that they know all about the Revolution. They post a picture of what THEY think the Revolution will look like, and quite frankly, I don’t think that the thing that they have “created” here could even play games. The controller is essentially a large slingshot, and the console is very bad looking. They continue making several stabs about Nintendo, how it is now the “underdog” of the gaming industry. Fools.

Could THIS Be the Revolution?
No, it couldn’t. But, it looks like a very good conceptual image. I could see the new Revolution looking like this, but, I don’t think it will turn out being like that. It is pretty sweet, though.

Search: Rollercoaster. I searched for Rollercoaster because there are just so many of them throughout the world, that it’s cool to know what’s where. My goal here is to find a couple of good databases with roller coaster stats. Here we go.

This one is pretty sweet. It tells you what rollercoasters are new (in this case, it tells you all of the rollercoasters that were new in ‘04, the new ones for ‘05, and the ones planned for 2006. It’s really cool, because I can get stats on the new rollercoaster that is opening at Busch Gardens this spring (which, by the way, is called SheiKRA). I didn’t know that Space Mountain was under construction at Disneyland, either…that’s not bad. You can take a look at pictures of the rollercoasters through their construction and everything. Sweeeet.

Ultimate Roller Coaster
This one is pretty sweet, too. The website design isn’t all that great, but, this isn’t Late Night Bloggin’, and I’m not out to judge that today. Anyway. This one basically has a bunch of news and guides about rollercoasters that are all over the world and stuff. You’ll like this one if you’re into roller coasters, probably not as much as you would like RCDB, but, this one is pretty cool anyway. Just search for a theme park or a rollercoaster, and it will give you the stats and everything you need to know before you get on the ride.

Search: Carpet. As I sit here and watch Anchorman, I get to the part where the stupid one is all, “I love carpet. I love desk. I love lamp,” and all that stuff. So, my goal here is to find pictures of carpet. Why anyone would take a picture of their carpet, I have no idea. But, that’s what I’m out to do in today’s Image Search. Boring carpet, here I come.

NOT What I Was Looking For…
So I decide to do an image search for carpet, and I get a magic carpet. This picture is of Aladdin and the princess lady on the magic carpet in the 1993 film “Aladdin.” Not quite what I was looking for.

I Bet I Could Use These…
As you’re undoubtedly aware, I am a big The Sims 2 fan (look for new stuff about The Sims 2 on Blog of Bagel 2 starting next week). So, when I come across an image of many thumbprints of different carpet style, then I get excited. The Sims 2 features a program where you can create your own content using Photoshop or any other different paint program. It’s very easy. I’m saving this image, and I’ll be making some custom carpet for my houses in The Sims 2. It’ll make it seem real!

Well, then. Hope you liked the first installment of Google’d. There’s a lot of different, funny stuff that I’m going to be researching. You never know. One week, I may do a tutorial that I found on Google for doing something on the internet or something. This could be very good. There’s a lot that I can do, and you can believe that I’m going to try all sorts of things.

Now, about that “construction day” that I mentioned. I’m going to be upgrading some features on the blog on Saturday morning. Just minor things, nothing incredibly major. I am going to be adding a scrolling marquee (if I can find one that is compatible with blogs). My intent here is to give quick updates through that from now on, telling you of upcoming events on the blog. I am also going to add the “Google’d” sidebar. And, after much realization that it’s a failure, I’m getting rid of Blog of Bagel Mini. I’m going to add a couple new things. As for Photoshop. If you’ve been checking out Mobagel lately, I’m starting a new Mobagel exclusive gallery, called “Bored in School.” Every day in Yearbook class, I’ve been working on stuff in Photoshop (including one thing that I want to show Mrs. Yearbook Advisor as a cover possibility for next year). Most of the stuff that I do in Photoshop will be added to Mobagel, and mini-tutorials will be provided. It’s a good way for me to give some exclusive content to Mobagel. But, after that gallery is done, I’m retiring from Photoshop tutorials for good. I’ll still work in Photoshop, but, no more tutorials. Everything that I do when I’m done is going to be exclusive to me.
